I randomly picked this book up while I was looking for the Dune series and thank god I did. This book is a perfect blend of dystopian and enough science and engineering to be sci-fi. What also occurs is this creeping horror as you learn what has occurred to make humans live in a silo. Something I love about this book is how amazing the main character is she’s smart and hardworking very much Katniss if she was older and jaded. I loved how realistic everything in this book is as I could see our world turning into this one if we aren’t careful. I’m constantly wondering what’s happening and what’s going to happen next and thankfully I have the second book ready to go right next to me. This book is something I had wished I had read earlier and can’t wait to watch the TV series!
