They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
5.0

What does it mean to be alive? How do you live your entire lifetime in a day?

Such poignant writing, cleverly executed plot and story telling. This book will hurt you in the best possible ways, and even the ending was much less painful and more tender than I expected. And I fell in love with Mateo and Rufus's journey, how they discovered themselves, how they truly learnt how to connect with someone else and become a better version of themselves – even if it was on their last day alive.

I must admit the first dozen pages were less enjoyable than the rest of the novel but once you got a hang of it everything falls into place and you're in for a remarkable, wonderful journey.

This book also confirms my belief: people fall in love not because they find each other hot. They fall in love because of emotional connection. There are tons of ways to have that connection, and all it takes is to put yourself out there, be kind, be yourself, and everything will only be better from there.
