Much as I enjoyed the first book of this series, I did not care for this second installment. Honestly there wasn’t much development of either plot or characters, save we got more NC scenes. We get chapters from Adrian’s pov, yet we still don’t learn anything about him. This book mostly felt like filler, like the author wasn’t quite sure what direction she wanted to take with the plot and simply wrote without purpose. The book can be condensed to a 3-4 chapters at best. If I stumble on the next book I’ll likely read it, but I won’t be going out of my way to look for it.
