The Ink Black Heart by Robert Galbraith

2.0

Filled with familiar characters and themes for fans of the series. Clocking in at just over 1000 pages, I found it a slog and frustrating. I really do like the characters of Strike and Robin, but that might be the only thing that git me through.

The writing needed editing. It felt like everyone involved in the main case and minor cases were horrible. Misogynistic, self centered, money hungry, or just obnoxious and I don't mean just the villains. Strike and Robin's personal stories don't advance significantly and thought thier group at the agency grows readers don't really get to know any of those characters better.

Unless you are a die hard fan of the series or Rowling, pass on this one.
