I was looking forward to a new pairing for this group of fabulous metahumans, but this pairing was tepid and lacked any type of substance that would make this novella engaging and fun. There simply wasn't enough time or substance to establish any kind of meaningful connection so this remained a pretty superficial and not particularly interesting pairing. And like the rest of the books in this series , lots of fast paced, high drama and multiple rounds of marathon sex.
