Wayside School Beneath the Cloud of Doom by Louis Sachar
4.0
It's funny when a book that's brand new to you can have so much nostalgia in it, but when you grew up reading (and re-reading) the Wayside School books, a new one is certain to do it. This is the first book Sachar has written in that series in over forty years!
Amazingly, Sachar still brings the same irreverence, innocence, wit, and honesty to the series that he did forty years ago, and he even throws in a few Easter eggs for the original books. It's a lot of fun, and new readers to the series shouldn't even be able to tell that so many years passed from the last book to this one.
