North Queen (book one) had me absolutely stunned, but Shadow Queen has me beyond gobsmacked! I read this incredible book in one day and the only regret is not having book three in my hands.
This book focuses a lot more on the intricacies of the warring kingdoms and the politics associated with ruling. The layers are so beautifully written and every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, a new twist occurred and I was sent spinning. Saying I was invested is a huge understatement. I found myself lost in the story, the rapidly changing behavior of the characters, and the ever impending destruction for those seeking endless power. Nicola Tyche is a new author, but you would never know.
