Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

4.0

I had been told to read this book, so it was a pleasant surprise when the next day my English teacher announced that we would be reading it.
I thought that compared to the other science fiction books that have been recently published, Fahrenheit 451 was actually well thought out and actually predicted a feasible outcome for the future. A world where books are illegal and are burned by firemen is a lot more reasonable than The Hunger Games, Matched, or The Selection. I felt that the writing style for this book was slightly confusing, though brilliantly told through the thoughts of Guy Montag. You could see him slowly being driven insane by hauntings of countless books and houses he's burned and the parlor "family."
In short, I'd say that everyone should read this book at least once in their lives.
