Night Light by Terri Blackstock

5.0

I love this book!!!!!

I love the four children that the Brannings take in, Aaron, Joey, Luke and sweet little Sarah. They may have started out as thieves, but they grew and learned to trust others and in God as well. This took me on a very interesting journey and it kind of made me rethink the way I thought about marriage (for when I'm older of course) when Terry wrote about Craig and Deni's relationship. Oh, did I mention, that son of a bastard came to Oak Hollow to make up with Deni and take her back to DC? Probably the only book that's ever had romance where I've begged it to have them break up. I hate Craig, he's unromantic and selfish and he doesn't care for Deni the way Mark does.

Some of the book kept you on the edge of your seat, meeting all these new characters and learning about how big of an influence those four kids had on the Brannings. I think one of my favourite scenes in the book WARNING SPOILERS!!!!!! is when Edith takes the kids to get the money and tricks them and them her money gets stolen too, when the Brannings still say that they want to take them in again. That really proves to Aaron and his siblings that they don't care about the extra money the kids brought into their home, they only care that those kids have a home to stay in. It's really touching.

I'm already onto True Light, and I can't wait to finish it.
