Wow, just wow! I think this might be one of the BEST historical fiction books I’ve ever read. Reading the authors note showcased just how well this story was out together with real events and people. Louise de Bettignies felt like a fictional character, however she was real in every capacity shown in the story. Truly a heroine and women to admired for her courage, strength, and wit. The Alice Network, was very real and a major part of the allies obtaining intel. Main character Eve, was a fictional character with two real truths, her stammer and her code name Marguerite. Rene, Charlotte, and Finn were also fictional characters based of real truths.
