Kill for Me, Kill for You by Steve Cavanagh
4.0
This was a WILD ride. There were probably 4 separate times where I thought l'd finally figured out where this plot was going, and I was wrong every single time. From the first chapter, the pacing is incredibly fast, and makes every decision feel even more intense. Between Amanda's horrific family loss and Ruth's traumatic assault, it felt like I was racing to the end to find a tiny drop of hope.
Without any spoilers, I'll say the ending was a little too much for me. I loved the set-up and 90% of the plot, but then it got to the third insane reveal and I just couldn't suspend my belief that far. However, that did not spoil the overall mood of the book, and l'd still rank it as a top-tier thriller!
This is the perfect kind of book to get you out of a reading slump or to just to be read quickly, because it pushes you faster and faster every chapter!
