This book surprised me.

First, I now understand why people say that Indigenous literature is more character driven than plot driven. It’s different, but I really liked it.

But also, I just loved these stories. I love how so many of their narratives connected in the most intriguing ways that made me hold my breath at the end. I also like how some of them had consistencies across their stories while also being uniquely different and distinct.

I want to bring attention to the interesting writing style and I feel kind of dumb that it took me until halfway to realize that the stories would change between first-person, third-person and second-person, which I never see and it was such a lovely addition.

That ending destroyed me, but I highly recommend this book.
