Lyla Eden is enjoying a rare day off when a violent attack in the wilderness leads to the arrival of Vance Sutter in town…and the kind of romance Lyla assumed wasn’t in her cards.
So many aspects of this book were honestly unhinged, but I had a really fun time reading it! I enjoyed Lyla, and her relationship with Vance was really sweet if a bit predictable. His nickname for her was also my favorite of this series so far.
I also really enjoyed the way the suspense/crime elements of this one took the lead (particularly after they took a backseat in the last couple books), which made this a bit of a change of pace!
And since I know you’re waiting for this, my updated current series rating: JUNIPER HILL > THE EDENS: A LEGACY (short story) > JASPER VALE > CRIMSON RIVER > INDIGO RIDGE > CHRISTMAS IN QUINCY (novella) > GARNET FLATS.
