Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club by Harold Bloom

4.0

I started to read this as a novel initially and tried to keep up with the relationship trees between the moms and daughters of the Joyluck club. However, I was quiet unsuccessful and had more success with reading this and individual stories slightly interconnected and just focusing on each of these women’s experiences and how they differed from each other although they were all Chinese immigrant experiences. Insightful and engaging, I’d recommend this one
