Like any self help book this is fluffed up with stories and repetition. That said, I was surprised how much it had to offer. Earning potential was only really a small part of it—I actually felt like it didn’t offer a lot of practical advice in that area. What it does offer is insight on building confidence, and breaking through societal ideas of how a woman should be, professionally and otherwise. Learn how to believe in yourself and your abilities. And why all of this is important, six figures or no. This book fails to address social, economic, cultural and other factors that might be barriers to the successes it promotes. And also, while it claims you can achieve big bucks in any field, there sure are a lot of financial advisors, MBAs, CEOs, and the like held up as examples of financial success. Duh. I guess the point is women are in these lucrative positions and it’s possible for more women to be there, too.
