this book is about a 30-year-old child who is looking for a wife who will take the role of a mother and housekeeper so he can enjoy his life in his greenhouse, tormented by his past with his dead brother, abusive father and melancholy dead wife. he is whiny and throws tantrums when something goes slightly different than he thought it would
it gets three stars because i did enjoy quite a few moments, like Eloise bonding with the twins, or all the Bridgertons making appearances throughout the story, but i would have wished a different love story–or just a different progression of this one, even, for her
