Microserfs by Douglas Coupland
4.0
Brilliant. Thats all I can say about this book. Its brilliant. As with all of Coupland's work, he injects a level of artistry that is rarely come across in literature. He is fully aware that he is writing a book and instead of simply using the medium to carry his words, he uses the medium of the novel in a very deliberate and artistic way that only heightens the brilliance of the novel.
The only downside is the technology used in the book is a bit outdated, but thats to be expected and he actually makes a point of that in the book.
Its not a quick read persay...I found myself reading maybe 10 pages at a time. But thats okay....its not about plot, its about the medium and the self.
