White Nights by Fyodor Dostoevsky
5.0

a story of two lonely beings caught in an illusion of love. The dreamer mistook Nastenka's attention and vulnerability for love; Nastenka mistook his kindness for love. They were simply two sad beings seeking solace in each other, and perhaps those moments of fleeting comfort are a form of love in itself.
