Lore of the Tides

adventurous

I have a healthy respect for [ahem] fear of the ocean, and it's none of my business what goes on down there. So you can imagine that I started this book as anxious as Lore when she wakes up on a ship... in the middle of the ocean. (No thank yew.) I would have also been seasick without my motion sickness patches... I digress.
This duology is truly cozy; I appreciated the diversity and representation, including how Lore handled her hair while on an adventure. Lore herself represented hope to her people, and that was a bright spot with current events happening in our world. Libraries are such an integral part of the story, which I loved! The pacing of both books was a bit off for me, but overall, I really enjoyed this story and the romance.
Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Voyager for the eARC.
