the writing alone is a 5/5 but the rest is just kinda meh. i wasn’t really interested in any of the characters and thought it was kind of weird that andy has spent his whole life ashamed of his sexuality but spends the whole book confidently flirting with every man he meets….? felt like there maybe should’ve been some inner turmoil with that. but the book does explore some interesting topics/themes surrounding oppression.
