This is my favorite in the Mackenzie series. Chance and Sunny become stuck in the desert. Only not everything is as it seems. Chance is hiding thing from Sunny, but so is Sunny. It's a game of cat and mouse they are both playing with their lives at stake.
Historical romance is more my genre, but this book drew me, keeping me plastered to the pages. I'm not much of an intrigue fan either, but this one had just enough espionage for me to keep the pacing from lagging.
