How to Catch a Prince by Ana Ashley

4.0

How to Catch a Prince is the first book in the Chester Falls series, a contemporary MM romance series set in a small New England town. This book is full of fluff and romance, with enough light angst and low drama to give the plot a little umph.

Just like a gay Hallmark movie, Charlie returns home to Chester Falls for his sister’s wedding. Unbeknownst to Charlie, the hot neighbor living next to him in his rented temporary room is Prince Kristof of Lydovia. Kris is in Chester Falls to hide from the press and lay low until he has a chance to attend the U.S. President’s Ball and fix his bad boy image. The last thing Kris expects to happen is to literally bump into the love of his life in a moment of chance. From the instant these two men lock eyes, there is no stopping the attraction and romance that sparks between them. But first they will have to get through obstacles and make hard decisions before they can get their happy ever after.

I loved this book. It is the definition of a fluffy read full of improbable possibilities that you find in fairy tales. Kris and Charlie were great characters and their romance was both tender and sweet. I really enjoyed Ana Ashley’s writing style and found the book very easy to read and enjoy.

Nick Hudson narrated the audiobook and did a fantastic job. He has a wonderful voice that’s smooth and melodic. He voiced all the characters perfectly and made each character sound distinct and unique so it was easy for me to follow along while listening. I loved the energy Nick put into his performance and I thought it was super cute the little bit of personality he added in the author’s end notes. I will definitely listen to more books by Nick Hudson.

This book gets a big recommendation from me, especially if you want some sweet Hallmark-type romance fluff.
