I love this book sm!! I’m currently reading the heroes of Olympus series and so far I enjoyed the son of Neptune way more than the lost hero, although I love the trios from both books.
Imo, son of Neptune reads more like a book from the main pjo series, maybe that’s because Percy is a much bigger part of it but I don’t know, I think I just enjoy more how this book was written compared to the first one.
I’m so glad that Percy is back as one of the main characters even though he was only gone for one book lol. He’s a great character, his powers are my favourite and Poseidon is my favourite Greek god / Neptune is my favourite Roman god.
I also love Hazel, nico is my favourite character so it’s nice to see him interacting with the daughter of Pluto!! I also like how Hazel’s powers are more on the ‘riches’ side of Pluto/Hades, because I think many people only see him as the god of underworld when he’s also responsible for riches. She has a really interesting backstory, and I think she’s one of my favourite pjo characters now.
Frank is also a super interesting character. He doubts himself a lot which he definitely shouldn’t. I enjoyed seeing a son of Mars who isn’t actually insane & violent like how most people would stereotype them to be but rather he had a gentler side. I also like how he is a descendant of Poseidon, another ‘brother’ for Tyson!! And ofc his powers are actually really cool and so is his backstory and his family
