I loved this book! As a huge fan of Anne of Green Gables this book really hit the mark. It gave me the same feeling I get whenever I pick up the classic. There were enough similarities for it to feel familiar, but it was definitely different enough to stand apart.

This book is about fifteen year old Ann Alwyn who moves to Kansas to live with grandparents she didn’t even know she had. Her grandpa gives her a copy of “Anne of Green Gables” and she learns that she has a lot in common with Anne Shirley from the book.

The author wrote Ann’s character in a way that really captured the essence of Anne Shirley from  Anne of Green Gables. It was wonderful. I loved all of the references to the classic story and how they were tied in as well.

This is definitely a book fans of Anne of Green Gables will enjoy.
