It’s not really hooking me. I’m about a quarter of the way through and it’s just not gripping me. There wasn’t a really convincing reason for him to risk everything bringing her to red London. And then she kissed him before they went through the portal which seemed out of place. I didn’t feel particularly attached to either main character. I didn’t find them super compelling.
