Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica

1.0

This book took my ages to finish. The entire experience is uncomfortable & gave me an ick I couldn’t scrub off if I tried — though I appreciate the unique writing style & the commentary on humanity & it’s ruthless qualities, this book lacks resolution or even climax. The narrator is not only unlikeable but dull & without purpose. - this book is without purpose. It’s a shock value theatric that feels wildly unfinished & it’s not to be read for enjoyment - though I don’t know what someone would need to be searching for in that this story would indulge their needs. Not my cup of tea.
