Cruel Paradise by J.T. Geissinger

Ugh, I was hoping I’d enjoy this more. I love Killian in his appearances in other books, and I enjoyed Liam’s story too. But this was essentially a twist in miscommunication trope and as frustrating to read as that always is.

The banter was top notch along Juliet and her friends, as well as with Killian. But the manufactured angst over Juliet’s stubbornness plus Killian’s refusal to throw her a bone (for legit reasons, but ultimately causing their problems because of it) was rage inducing to read.

By 70% in I wanted to throttle the FMC, and that’s never a good sign.
