The writing has so much emotions and paints vivid pictures in your mind, even if I sometimes found it to be a bit on the nose. I loved following multible characters and to see them intertwine as the story went on, and overall just found them interesting. As a queer person I was really glad to see the queer representation, and it was refreshing and interesting to read a book with characters of lots of different ethniticies. I was also glad to see many women with important roles.
I didn't expect to be so immersed in this book because the books I read are usually shorter, but this book changed my mind about longer books!
