3.5 Stars. Summer of Jordi Perez is a happy, queer, fat girl rom com. And it doesn’t get a lot deeper than that. Not that it has to, though it does touch on more serious issues like body image, but the story felt lack luster and a bit rushed to me.

A good, clean queer story for younger teens featuring a plus size character. Pretty descent writing. The fashion and photography topics just didn’t mesh with me. Not really my style of book.
