A fun summer weekend read to break up the Cosmere density, Alloy of Law is entertaining and moderately thrilling, but ultimately lacks substance. Marasi feels like a Dan Brown character due to her superb capability in all she does, and Wax feels unexplored in his personal struggles and inner monologue.
Still, I recommend giving it a read, it's still fun, coherent, and inventive in its continuation of Allomancy and Feruchemy. I have my hopes up for the next ones to add more nuance to these characters.
