This book fucked me up, and I'm not confident in my ability to give it the review it deserves but I'm going to try and organise some of my thoughts on it.
The writing is fucking beautiful. The author's ability to write such intense, gripping, all-consuming lust and desperation is overwhelming. It blew me away and not only did I highlight half the book but I had to reread parts of it many times to appreciate the dialogue and descriptions.
The plot is bizarre. It often felt like a fever dream but that doesn't diminish my overall rating of the book. It made me feel EVERYTHING. I don't think I've "what the fuck"'d out loud as much as I did reading this book.
It's raw, gory, explosive and feral. So much blood and sex and more blood. It's equal parts horrific and erotic.
You're just thrown straight into the deep end feeling drunk and high on whatever the fuck is going on. It played out like a movie in my head and felt more like a cinematic experience than a book.
Despite the plot holes and sometimes frustrating events

I can't see myself rating it anything other than 5 stars for every single emotion it made me feel.
