I can’t decide whether or not I should give this five stars because it was so good and I literally tore through it. Once I got past the first few chapters I could not stop reading. And the vibes were so clear and just like bringing you into this wet, stormy zone. This would be perfect to read during a storm in a cabin next to a fire or just when it’s raining. I loved the water vibes throughout and I just really loved everything about the story. I wasn’t shocked by the reveal that Blackmars daughter was Angharad and that she wrote the book but I did like it I will say the ending felt a little too tied in a bow and it was like all the struggles with being a women in this society were just like wrapped up and overcome which did not seem realistic, but it is a fantasy so…. Still might change the rating after ruminating on it because I loved the vibes and thought the story was really unique and creatively inspiring. And Preston and effys romance is so pure and cute. Still unsure about what the actual lore surrounding the fairy king and magic in this world is but I guess the whole point is everyone sees/hears different forms of magic. Like the ending line where Preston heard the bells is just fucking amazing. I’ll probably think about this book after and so I decided to give it a five. Maybe I shouldn’t if I’m unsure but yolo it ain’t matter
