The broody man, the age gap, the forbidden exes father, the toxic, dark romance😍😍. IM IN LOVE. I can understand Penelope’s hype.

This isn’t some lusty age gap that doesn’t make sense. This couple makes SENSE. They were meant to be. She’s 19 and he’s I believe 38?

They meet on the night of her birthday, at the movie theater, both alone. Her boyfriend, Pike’s son, is out doing who knows what (who even cares). They had no idea of eachother at the time but quickly learn the truth. After one of the best company they’ve had in a while they were shattered.

They had a lot of resistance to the feeling of being together. I felt like there was a slight slow burn that was just perfect. Pike took care of the people he cared about and when Jordan moved in, he enjoyed being taken care of.

This was no doubt one of my favorite books of all time. I thought I was going into pure raunchiness and a love that didn’t make sense. But trust me, it does and you will love it!

😍 obsessed. It’s not for everyone but these are my favorite tropes!
