TG slips back into some of his less-than-stellar habits in this book. The biggest one being that once again there is a character whose sole purpose seems to be to ask stupid questions so that Richard, and even Kahlan at one point, can pontificate. And that character is Shale. The Mord-Sith do it to a lesser extent as well.
He also started doing that thing again where the title gets repeated over and over, lest you be confused about why the book is titled as such. Pretty sure the words "witch's oath" were in there at least 20 times.
The storyline was fine. The time jump was kind of expected. There was a definite creep factor. But at the end when they figured out that Shota was causing all the issues... honestly I was just annoyed. Like, really? Back to that again....
