The Baller
by Vi Keeland
Brody & Delilah. Standalone. Told from dual POV’s. Let me just start by saying, Brody......Yummy!!! What a guy. His interactions with Marlene and Grouper were priceless. Alzheimer’s is not easy and Brody was just so patient and loving. I fell in love with him especially because of those scenes. Then when you add in the chemistry with Delilah and his bedroom skills, you get a swoon worthy guy. Delilah was easy to like. With her background and love of football, it was easy to see why they had such good chemistry in and out of the bedroom. They had a mature relationship with no cheating and no big secrets that they kept from each other. They were honest about past relationships and current situations. The story moves along well and keeps the reader engaged. It has a HEA and an epilogue. Overall, a good story.
Quotes:
“That old man is a few Brady’s short of a bunch.”
“I’m like fungus, I grow on you.”
“I’m lucky to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.”
“ I had thought peace was a place where there was no turbulence or fear. Where there were no highs and lows and where happiness was found in the calm at the center. But at that moment, I finally realized peace wasn’t about avoiding things. It was about making the choice to live life with all it’s chaos around you, and in the midst of it all, having calm in your heart.”
