At the beginning I remember thinking the characters were kind of boring stereotypes. Like great, another lonely student convinced she's too cool for the cool kids by her angsty friend, even though the cool kids are actually just trying to be nice. But that changed quickly ad the plot thickened, of course. And now I don't know what to believe! Are the bunny boys real? Was Max real?? Was Ava real?? Are the bunnies witches and Samantha's more powerful them? Was it the pills and all the alcohol? Am I really to believe Samantha's love for Ava was entirely platonic? Or did she make Max (a projection of herself) so sexy to Ava because she wanted Ava to be in love with her? Is it all an allegory about loneliness and how we self-sabotage because of our egos and preconceived notions? Were Ava and Max personifications of Samantha's ego and id? This book was so good!!!!
