I had a hard time starting this book. As a person who isn’t super into comedy, it was a little too sarcastic and quip-y for me at first. But I’m really glad I persisted because I learned a lot and found Lindy West’s words helpful for articulating my own story. It was totally worth pushing through the constant bits, jokes, and snarky footnotes.
