I loved this book. It’s a slow reflection on life and what constitutes as success and happiness in life amidst the backdrop of a bookstore. You get to live through the daily lives of the employees and the regular customers of the bookshop and experience their journey towards finding meaning in life and happiness in their own different ways. I don’t think I have left even a page unmarked with my underlines and highlights and annotations. If you are struggling with your life I would highly recommend reading this book. Somewhere along the pages you will feel seen, understood and might even find a ray of hope for the future. If you loved the kdrama summer strike, this in my opinion is another take on some of the same concepts. Do pick it up!
