Ruby Spencer's Whisky Year by Rochelle Bilow
1.0

Let’s play a game…. Do a shot every time you read “How cute! How Scotland!”

This book was infuriating to read. The main character has no personality and the inner monologue of Raquel Leviss. We are not introduced to the love interest until page 50 so until then we are forced to read about Ruby’s poor hygiene and the lists she makes in her journal about the cookbook she is writing. It didn’t get much better after that unfortunately.

I love a good rom-com as a palette cleanser in between heavy books but this was just not it.

Also side note the nickname Roo for Ruby is a major ick.
