With her heart split between Death and Falin, by the end of this book, my heart bled for poor Alex. I really wish she had a bit more luck with her life! Meeting the Winter Queen, her distant uncle and the murderer that she has to deal with do not amount to a very nice life for her. Honestly, poor girl. :/
And then the whole ordeal with Death and those other two! On the bright side, what this novel did have was a bit more parent-child relationship development. We saw a tidbit of Alex's past, a new face to her father and there's now a question mark hanging over that little helper that Alex can't remember. All in all, great intrigue for the next book. I think I'm addicted.
