bookbuyer 's review for:

The Lord of Opium by Nancy Farmer
3.0

So this book wasn't as good as the first one. It did a good continuance but it just didn't grab my attention as much. I still like Matt, but was worried whenever he heard the 'voice' and would act too much like Patron. I feel really bad for poor Maria and don't know HOW she turned out to be a decent person when EVERY SINGLE other person in her family was either a b**ch or a b***ard. I got bored with the same same setting all the time. I wish Nancy Farmer had had Matt leave Opium for a bit to give me some change. >.>
