The Whispering Statue by Carolyn Keene

3.0

This was actually one of the more interesting and entertaining books of the series. Nancy is still a bit TOO talented - in this book she knows how to sail (despite never having done so previously in other books OR live anywhere near a large body of water), and also knows all of the appropriate sail-related jargon - but the overall story kept me guessing until the reveal at the end. The mystery was definitely a lot more tightly crafted, and I had a great time. Let's hope the next installment is just as fun!
