 agh ... so much death! I forgot that was a thing, I would have liked a lot less grief.

Extremely well written: despite the length, despite the twist and turns, deceptions and deceits, despite FOUR POVs, I followed everything!

At times I was annoyed to have to swap POVs, but not anywhere near as often as I usually am in a multi POV. My favourite character was Wulf (probably because
he gets to go everywhere so he's in all the MCs stories, and he has the least clear trajectory--his motives are his own, rather than pre-destined, and he seems to be a good and kind person just trying to do the right thing
), my least favourite was Tunuva (
the Canthe stuff was so heavily foreshadowed I just didn't feel like I had the energy to wait for her to get to the realisation the reader had had hundreds of pages earlier
). It's been a while since I read Priory, but it was interesting to see how the author set up for the bits I do remember.
