things i think everyone could love:
- incredible, intersectional female characters
- feminist fantasy
- subtle and rich writing
- TERRIFIC worldbuilding. like, i'm talking fantasy food descriptions (my beloved)
- epic, twisty plotting
things that may turn you off:
- length: 850ish pages is a lot of pages. but! it is a stand-alone that has a more than satisfying arc
- pacing: related to length but i mean... it's pretty fast compared to some high fantasy i've read,,, cough robin hobb i love you but please.. please.......
anyway. a new favourite for me!!!!!! from one samantha to another <3
