This took me a while to get through. Thanks ADHD! It started off really slow…really really slow but I know Daphne always turns is around and boom I ended up loving this book and Gus and Chloe.. but especially Bus should be protected at all costs. How many times I wanted to wallop Chloe upside her head was insane. Like seriously you have this brooding lumberjack who is willing to be at your beck and call for anything and I mean anything!! This book was so angsty, revenge filled but those two could not get enough of each other. You felt the enemies to lovers. Daphne is so good at getting these characters into your head where you feel like you are there. Do I wish there was more spice? Yes because Gus has a dirty mouth. Clive of course is up to his typical shenanigans with a surprise up his belt.
