Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.
I don't usually dnf this early but I'm very strict with library books since I'm not willing to waste time for a book I don't even own. I won't call this a soft dnf, but I'm not going to return it to the library quite yet so we'll see if this changes.
for me it was the writing. while there is nothing wrong with someone not wanting to write explicit language in their book, there absolutely is something wrong with the author censoring it in the book (ex. what the [redacted, explicit]). get a grip, grow up, go outside, anything else you think I could say to the author.
less aggressively, every other line of dialogue ended in an exclamation point. why are we all yelling. calm down.
