The Cutting by James Hayman
3.0
This book is very imaginative and creative. I always seem to be enthralled with books about serial killers. This one is really good, but not great. Maybe I have been spoiled by some I have read in the past and was expecting something similar.
The plot and events in this book are very well written for the reader. It is easy to follow. However, its drawback is its lack of interest. What I mean is, I had a hard time concentrating on it. It was either catching your attention or boring you. It would get really great in parts then die down to almost being dull then back up. That made it really hard to read from start to finish.
Overall, if you are an avid reader of this genre, you may really enjoy this book. The characters are likable and portrayed just right. Their interactions are well-written for the most part. And the suspense and details of the murders are written very descriptively!
