Okay I’m not usually one that loves pregnancy tropes, but this one might be the absolute exception to the rule. These two met at a wedding, didn’t really get along, there might have been some physical abuse on the girls’ side (basically she punched him), and in true book fashion, one thing lead to another and they slept together. Little did they know that their one bad decision would be life altering.

This book is one of my favourite developments, you really get to witness strangers that become friends and eventually a couple. Both are coming to the story with issues and baggage that affects them greatly. The pain they were experiencing when they met didn't allow for a relationship at that time. It was decided that there would be no romance, no future, and certainly no kissing. Clearly, things did not go according to plan.

Lowell has to be the best goddamn father on the planet. He was so present from the beginning and did everything he could to make sure Hollis felt comfortable and protected. If my husband isn’t spending every moment of his free time from his all-time professional career being there for me, well we’re going to have a problem!
