The Shadow of the Fox is based on Japanese mythology and folklore, as the characters go through an exciting journey trying to find and protect the Dragon scroll. There's a ragtag bunch of misfits that come together through this journey and form amazing bonds with each other.
I especially loved the main character, Yumeko who is cheerful, compassionate and never fails to put a smile on my face.
This book was quite fast paced and there were so many twists and turns throughout that always shocked me!
If you like a found family going on a quest to save the world combined with magic, monsters and folklore, this is the perfect book for you!
