I have heard about Octavia and how she writes very unhinged characters. This felt like reading about Joe from YOU but make him a black man, or a Criminal Minds episode that was very similar. This escalated so quickly I felt like at times I couldn’t keep up because he was on to the next unhinged act. That part was done very well. I would’ve rated this book higher if it wasn’t for the one SA scene. I listened to the audiobook and don’t remember triggers being included at the beginning but this is a book that definitely should come with TWs if it doesn’t already have them. Read with caution.
